The Best Damn Root Beer Review -Thirsty Thursday

Brewed by: Anheuser-Busch

Alcohol by volume: 5.5 %

The Best Damn Root Beer is not your typical root beer.
It’s not quite beer and not quite root beer. It’s both.

At first taste, it has strong overtones of vanilla bean extract that are reminiscent of many a root beer float that I enjoyed during my childhood. Though, this euphoric state lasts only a few seconds. Not to worry because it is quickly followed by a familiar hops aroma that grounds you in the present.
Of course, if you drink more than one all of that goes flying out the proverbial window.

If you’re not a fan of root beer at all then you won’t appreciate such a brew. But if you consider yourself something of a root beer and beer connoisseur then I highly recommend The Best Damn Root Beer!

I give it 5 out of 5 mugs! 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino Review -Thirsty Thursday

Happy First Day of Fall! And Happy Thirsty Thursday!

This week I decided to review Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. That’s right… it’s that time of year again when everything pumpkin spiced comes out of hibernation.

Now, I haven’t been to a Starbucks in about three months but I sure am glad to have come across the bottled version of their infamous Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino at my local grocery store.

In case you’re wondering, it definitely tastes like what you’d expect it to taste like. It’s not too pumpkiny and not too cinnamony. It’s just right.

Though, it does boast about 290 calories per bottle. So, I wouldn’t recommend drinking more than two bottles in one day. But hey… I ain’t your mama. Drink a thousand bottles for all I care!

I give Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino 5 out of 5 jack-o-lanterns! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
(Please don’t drink a thousand bottles. I was just trying to be dramatically humorous.)

Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout Review -Thirsty Thursday

Alcohol by volume:
9.20%

Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout by Stone Brewing Co. is by far the best stout I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking!

Of course, it’s not for your common beer drinker. If you’re used to drinking nothing but Budweiser or Michelob I’ll warn you right now… this beer is NOT for you.

However, if you have a more sophisticated palette or you consider yourself somewhat adventurous then you’ll no doubt enjoy this stout’s subtle chocolatey oatmeal aroma and flavor. It may take a while for your taste buds to adapt but once they do you’ll immediately be transported to flavor country!

I give Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout 5 out of 5 mugs! 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Newcastle Brown Ale Review -Thirsty Thursday

Alcohol by volume:
4.7%

Manufacturer:
Heineken

Distributor:
Heineken

A friend of mine first introduced me to Newcastle Brown Ale seven years ago. I’ll admit that I didn’t like it right away. I had become used to other much more watered down ales.

But the more I sipped it the more I started to taste it’s robust hops and complex dark overtones. Ever since then my tastebuds have become more selective and wise.

Granted, it’s not an ale that everyone will like but if you’re willing to give it a chance then you might just end up surprising your own taste buds.

I give Newcastle Brown Ale 4 out of 5 mugs! 🍺🍺🍺🍺
